저PBR기업 최초 선정 및 공표 — English Edition
On 2 November 2026 the Korea Exchange published, for the first time, a list of low-PBR companies — listed companies whose price-to-book ratio has stood in the bottom 25% (KOSPI) or the bottom 10% (KOSDAQ) of their market and GICS sector over three years. 151 companies are named: 96 on KOSPI and 55 on KOSDAQ, drawn from a population of 2,431 listed companies. This edition translates the announcing press release in full, with both annexes — the results for each of the 22 market-and-sector cells, and the complete list of all 151 companies with each one's sector and most recent half-year PBR. Publication is a disclosure measure, not a sanction: a named company appears on the value-up page of KIND until the day before the next publication date of 4 May 2027 and carries a “low-PBR” tag on trading systems, and the Exchange says it plans to provide one-to-one PBR improvement consulting during 2027.

This is an unofficial English edition prepared by H&S Partners. The Korean source is the press release 「저PBR기업 최초 선정 및 공표」 published on 2 November 2026 by the Korea Exchange, together with its two annexes. The Korea Exchange has published no official English text.
The press release and both annexes are translated in full, in the Exchange's own order, with nothing abridged or summarised. That includes every one of the 151 companies in Annex 2, with its sector, market and PBR.
The company names are in Korean, and deliberately so. The Exchange published the list under Korean security names only — the short names that appear on a trading screen, which are often abbreviations of a company's full legal name. It published no English names, and this edition does not invent any: supplying one for each company would mean choosing, 151 times, between a company's own English style, a translation and a romanisation, and a single wrong choice would misidentify a named company. Each company is given exactly as the Exchange gave it; the sector and the market are in English.
The process diagram has been redrawn as a table and Annex 1's table has been split by market. The original sets the selection process as a row of blocks joined by arrows, and prints the two markets side by side under a two-level header. Each has been reproduced carrying every label, figure and date in the original. The information is complete; the presentation is ours.
Publication under this scheme is a disclosure measure, not a sanction. It rests on a mechanical PBR test. It is not a finding of wrongdoing, a regulatory action or an assessment of any company's management, prospects or compliance, and nothing in this edition should be read as one.
The cover, the explanatory pages, the translator's notes, the Contents, the head-note to Annex 2, the two enquiry boxes and the disclaimer are our own material and are no part of the press release.
