Over the past several decades, Korea has grown from the periphery of Asian finance into a market of global consequence. Working through that transformation has been rewarding — but not without its frustrations.
Chief among them was this. Korea’s statutes and regulations, the government’s official policy announcements, and the guidelines issued by its various financial authorities have rarely reached international investors as faithful translations of the original text.
