특정 금육거래정보의 보고 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 — English Edition
This is Korea's anti-money-laundering statute — the Act that creates the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit and imposes the suspicious-transaction and large-cash-transaction reporting duties, customer due diligence, the travel rule and record retention on financial companies and on virtual asset service providers. The official English translation published by the Korea Law Translation Centre stands at Act No. 19563 and is two years out of date. This edition brings it current to Act No. 21358, in force 20 August 2026 — and corrects ten points at which the official translation states the law differently from the Korean.
The official English is the base text of this edition. Reading it against the Korean turned up ten points where a reader relying on the English would get the law wrong. Each is corrected in the text, footnoted where it occurs, and listed in an Annex alongside every other departure, so this edition can be reconciled with the official one line by line. Among them:

Chapters I to VII and the Addenda are translated in full. Provisions inserted or rewritten by Act No. 21358 are highlighted, with a short CHANGES note after each Article affected. Article and chapter headings are restored to the Korean, including the “등” the official translation drops.
The Annex records every departure from the official translation — ten material, the rest terminology, cross-references, statute titles and presentation — each showing the official wording against this one. Nothing has been changed silently.
